Set in beautiful North Pembrokeshire and now in its sixth year, the Preseli Angel offers quiet but fast roads, varied terrain and spectacular coastal and mountain scenery.  Challenging, fully way-marked routes and the Preseli Angel’s timing in the year’s events calendar, deliver a fantastic but eminently do-able course that will suit early season fitness levels.

The Angel offers two routes, 40 and 78 miles. now being referred to as ‘signature routes’, such was the overwhelmingly positive response to 2012’s new course.  Both routes share the same beginning that includes fast roads, a magnificent climb of the Preseli Mountains and super-fast descent.  For those wanting more, the longer route then takes you to the edge of the Preseli Mountain range, through more fantastic scenery before returning you to the foot of the magnificent Carn Ingli for a brutal last climb from the infamous “Bessie’s” pub, up and over to Newport.  Both distances feature downhill finishing runs that will challenge you as much as the uphill sections!
