What’s it all about?

We are please to be holding The Dog's....Sportive, 80 miles of Suffolk contryside taking in rolling hills and easy flats.  The ride starts at Kentford near Newmarket then travells out to the historic town of Lavenham before heading towards Stowmarket.  As you get towards Stowmarket you turn and head towards Ixworth then around the outskirts of Bury St.Edmunds.  A final section towards Mildenhall before heading back to the Animal Health Trust at Kenford. Do it in one hit, or take your time, with two feed stations to rest and chat this is a ride for everyone.

Fully supported:  In order to make your ride stress free and as enjoyable as possible, we will be marking the entire route with distinctive arrow signs.  On key junctions there will be safety marshalls, there will be two motor cyclists travelling the route to ensure everyone goes the right way, and help out if riders need assistance.  Two feed stations supported by Newmarket WAITROSE, one at The **** public house in the picturesque village of Lavenham, the other at Livermere village hall, both of which will have toilet facilities to hand.  To mark your epic ride you will receive a free Tacx Shiva water bottle worth £6.

When should I arrive

Registration will start at 07:30 and the ride will start at 09:00

If you are entering on the day, the fee is £17 and will be cash only (please bring correct amount if possible).  Please note, toilets will not open until 08:00 as they are in the visitor centre.  The coffeshop opens at 08:00 also.

What should I bring?

Your bike, a helmet, a pump and repair kit/spare tube, energy drink/ride snacks a mobile phone for emergencies.  To share your experience, bring along a friend, entries will be accepted on the day.

How do I enter?

Entry online has now closed, but you can turn up before 09:00 on the day and enter for £17 paying cash.
