About the Event

Info for Riders

First it’s not a race. It’s definitely a challenge and the idea is to get round in your own time but preferably before all your friends. The route: Roughly circular, you are never more than 10mls from the finish. What’s the off road like? – Depends on the weather but there is no deep mud, it can all be ridden on normal tyres but the sandy section can be difficult if it’s very dry! Which bike? – Well that’s the point, it’s a compromise, the lighter the wheels and tyres the more care needed on the rough but you have the advantage on the road. How do I find the way? - Follow someone else at your own peril. You get a detailed route description, a map and the entrances to the off road sections are arrowed. At the finish – Large hall, changing area and sit down food. All finishers get a certificate and a Scotton mug.
