Welsh Cycling will be holding a road camp for youth A/B riders over the weekend of the 29th and 30th December.

ONLY THOSE RIDERS WHO RECIEVE A DIRECT INVITATION TO APPLY WILL BE ACCEPTED.

The aims of the camp are;

1/ To give the riders experience of a camp environment.

2/ To allow the riders ability and aptitude to be assessed.

3/ Skill enhancement (on and off the bike)

4/ To have fun.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The plan is to ride from Newport Velodrome at 10.00 on the 29th December. Please arrive prior to 09.30. We will return on the Sunday by 3pm. Riders will need to bring spare kit for the ride home, leisure wear for the Saturday evening and toiletries. A mobile phone is inevitable but riders should not bring ipads or other large electronic devices. This event will be led by Courtney Rowe supported by members of Welsh Cycling (male and female). Riders will be staying in single gender dormitories sleeping up to 10. Maximum bag weight should be 8kg and should be a rucksack. This will be transported to the accommodation for the riders. Riders are requested to wear Club kit and dress appropriately for long rides in the winter. They should have snacks on their bikes and 2 water bottles for the ride up. Their bikes should be in excellent condition and they should carry spare inner tubes, tyre levers and pump. Full details will be emailed to riders directly.
