Scottish Cycling is pleased to announce the running 2 Youth Races on the 15th of May 2012 at the Kirkcaldy round of the Halford Tour Series.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for young bike riders to race on the same closed road circuit the Professionals will use for their televised series.
Beginning at 1pm a full menu of activities will take to the roads of "Lang Toun" showcasing cycling in all its forms, from school kids to a procession of all types of bicycles. Crowds of spectators will be lining the 1.4km testing circuit cheering on all the participants, before the main event begins at 7pm.
The format for the Youth races is as follows:
13:30 sign on opens
14:30 sign on closes
15:00 U16/14 Girls Race begins
15:40 U16/14 Boys Race begins
* transponders will be used to record laps and finishing positions. This will require a REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of £20 from each entrant. This is to ensure the return of transponders.
