About the Event

Info for Riders

Explore the quiet country lanes of Cheshire with a ride across some of the most beautiful rolling countryside the region has to offer. The Stuart Fraser-Thomson Foundation has organised this fund-raising Sportive to fund stairlifts for the terminally ill, with all proceeds going to the foundation this is a great opportunity to stretch your early season legs all for a fantastic cause. The route starts and finishes at Royles Cycling Store (for free parking go behind Sainsburys in Wilmslow), taking in some of the quietest routes in the region with the gentle climb across the famous Edge on Alderley, then dropping down into the wonderful lanes towards Jodrell Bank, taking in the wildlife in Tatton Park, then back across to Royles for well deserved refreshments and a barbecue! The 70k route is well marked with drinks stations, a 'Bail-out' option for younger (or older!) riders, and facilities on hand at Royles should you need them.
