Chris's Cross Crit

Go-Ride , Peebles – Saturday, 22 Mar 2025

Event Summary

Event Overview

Parkrun hit on something awesome with their event format and we want to offer cyclists something similar.

We ran this event at Bowhill in 2024 and the vibe was awesome. Kudos to those at parkrun for making non competitive racing fun.

In 2025 we're hosting our even right after a real Parkrun, please check out Haylodge parkrun and consider coming early with your trainers.

Our format.

Heading out in "Mass Start" waves throughout the day you can ride the course as fast as you like or as carefully as you like, you can ride for the full wave time or just complete one lap - it's up to you!

The starts will look at feel like an XC or CX event.

The competitive among you you might want to take a couple of practice lap and then lay down a fast one. Or, if you aren't feeling competitive you you can ride at the pace of your friends or family. Every rider will be timed, with details from our chip timing published after the race but for the day you can just focus on FUN, fitness or fantaistic skills. The course will have ample opportnities for overtaking and optional technical challenges. and there is loads of scope to socially connect with other riders.
