The South London Go-Ride Racing League put on entry level 'Go-Ride' children's cycle races in South London. They are organised by four local cycling clubs for children: Limited Edition Cycling Club, Penge Cycling Club, Herne Hill Youth Cycling Club and the Bigfoot Youth Cycle Club. Go-Ride races are entry level races for riders with little or no racing experience and are arranged under the auspices of British Cycling.

COST:

On the day payment: £5-00, two races for each rider, cash on the day, please bring correct change. If you have registered in advance the payment on the day will be £4-50 provided you bring that exact amount in cash

Info for Riders

Who can join in?
If you are a competitive rider in regional races with decent sized fields, then the South London Go-Ride
Racing League is not for you - as the races are designed for riders with little or no racing experience. The
test will be:
The League is not for you if you have raced in British Cycling regional races, and on 3 or more
occasions from and including July 20 to June 21 have come in the top half of the race results where
there have been fields of 8 or more riders. British Cycling regional races are basically any race that
is not advertised by British Cycling as a “Go-Ride” race (eg London Cyclocross League, Spring in
the Park, the London Summer Cross League are regional races)
Anybody found participating in the League who should not, will be disqualified, asked to not attend any of
the other League races and will have any League points accrued removed (though such points will not be
redistributed to other riders due to the complexity and time of the task). Any other rider who as a result of a
disqualification would improve to a 1st, 2nd or 3rd position may ask for a certificate
Also the races are for children, boys and girls, that fit one of the age categories below. The races are open
to members of any cycle club (not just the four mentioned above) and to children who are not in a cycle
club.

Year of birth to qualify for this age category:

In exceptional circumstances we will allow a rider to ride up or down an age category, but in such instances
they don’t get league points or certificates. The main exceptional circumstance is where a parent of an
ineligible rider is actively involved in running the League and has their child in tow, thus the young rider gets
a race rather than pacing up and down
