About the Event

Info for Riders

Ovarian Cancer Action

We are raising money for this charity after being inspired by Nick Johnson's amazing fundraising challenge to fund a scientist in his wife's memory. More information on this challenge can be found here: https://www.oca3k.com/

Individual / Team fundraising for this cause needs to be via the JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/team/nbstdc24 with a target for each entrant of £50.

Key Information

- Start times will be between 8am and 9am from Nationwide's Pavilion car park, across the road from our HQ on Pipers Way in Swindon

- Participants riding the 100 mile route will set off first, nearer 8am with 35 mile route riders setting off nearer 9am.

- Participants will use the car parks at Nationwide House and head over to the Pavilion ready for the start.

- We would prefer that participants ride the routes in small groups so nobody is left riding the route alone.

- This will not be an escorted ride, so there won't be ride leaders on the day

- All routes will be marked with red arrows and we will publish the routes beforehand

- All routes visit Performance Cycles in Cotswold Water Park for drinks and refreshments stops. The shop can help with technical issues or spares.

- Participants need to ensure their bikes are full working order and suitable for riding their chosen distance

- This event is not a race, we will not be timing participants or publishing results

- Choosing a shorter or longer route option on the day is possible

- We will not store participant data outside of the online entry system. This data will only include contact details and will only be used to provide updates about the event before and afterwards, and on the day if we need to contact you directly.

- More information will be provided as we get closer to the event, but feel free to ask questions in the meantime or have a look at our Yammer / Viva Engage page via a Nationwide device.
