Road Coaching Sessions with British Cycling Coach Tom Haines at Leicester Cycle Circuit.

 

A 2 hour session dedicated to developing on & off bike skills along with physical elements required for success

 

Open to East & West Midlands & Central Riders in U12/ U14/U16 & Junior categories who;

 

Tom's MINIMUM restrictions are below:

 

Skill Level Required

At Racing Level (they have raced at Mallory or equivalent) and are able to ride 'on a wheel' and in a bunch.

 

Equipment Required

  • Clean Road Bike* in good working order with age-appropriate gear restrictions
  • Helmet, Gloves and Appropriate clothing for the weather and time of year
  • Spare Inner Tube, Tyre Levers, Bike Pump
  • 2 bottles - adequate food and drink for the session and travelling home

*if you do not own a road bike then a cross bike with road tyres is fine.

About the Event

Info for Riders

These sessions will run on a similar format to the Talent Development Centres (TDC's) ran by Tom Haines and British Cycling Staff through the winter.  The only difference being that these sessions are being opened up to strong U12's to give them an opportunity to develop their skills before they become an U14 and can attend the official BC TDC's.

 

These sessions are for riders already racing or planning to race circuit, numbers are limited to 45 racers who are Youth A/B/C in 2024 and Juniors.
