This Circuit Race is part of the National Disability and Para-cycling Road Series 2024 brought to you 
by Ilkeston Cycle Club
The event is open to any rider with a disability who holds a valid British Cycling Silver or Gold 
membership, or a valid competition licence issued by any other national federation recognised by the 
UCI.
More information about the series including eligibility to participate, rules and regulations can be

Event Format
• Harvey Hadden Sports Village (NG8 4PB)
• Race 1 will include Sport Groups: Bicycle and Tandem
• Race 2 will include Sport Groups: Handcycles and Tricycles
• Each race will be approximately 1-hour in duration

Info for Riders

Race Schedule for the day:

Eligibility
• Open to any rider with a disability who holds a valid British Cycling Silver or Gold 
membership or a valid competition licence issued by any other national federation 
recognised by the UCI.
• Classified riders will compete in the Sport Group allocated in their most recent National or 
International Classification session. However, International Classification will supersede 
National Classification for all events on the UCI calendar (incl. National Championships).
• Riders with a disability who do not meet the UCI eligible impairment criteria may compete 
in the following groups:
o Men’s and Women’s Bicycles (MC-D, WC-D)
o Men’s and Women’s Handcycles (MH-D, WH-D)
o Men’s and Women’s Tricycles (MT-U, WT-U)
o Men’s and Women’s Recumbent Tricycles (MT-R, WT-R)
o Open and Women’s Tandems (OB, WB)
• Riders under 16 from 14 years old may only compete in traffic-free or closed-circuit
events.

Event Format
• Specify course route (GPS in possible)
• Race 1 will include Sport Groups: Bicycle and Tandem
• Race 2 will include Sport Groups: Handcycles and Tricycles
• Each race will be approximately 1-hour in duration. The average lap time will of the leading rider will be used to calculate the approximate number of laps to go, and a lap board will appear with 10 laps to go
• Specific information about facilities:
o HQ is track side on hard standing
o Parking is the main Sports Centre Car Park - approx 200m from cycle circuit
o Changing and toilet facilities are located in the main sports centre
o Spectator can watch from any area around the circuit.

• Registration opens at 8:15am for all Categories.

• Racing will commence at 8:50am with races throughout the day for Youth, Male & Female riders of various categories.

• There will be an opportunity for youth riders to warm up prior to the first race starting.
• There will also be opportunity to warm up prior to both the Paracycling races.
