Event Summary

Event Overview

This is a new exciting event being organised and hosted by Ride 24/7 Bike shop, and Via Roma Cycle Events & Coaching.

The event will host a route that will challenge the most experienced rider.

The first 30 entrants will receive a goodie bag that will be supplied by Pas Normal Studios.

The long route will be 247 kilometres and exceed more than 2,300 metres (7,600 feet) of climbing, the route will take in the best of what the Cotswolds has to offer.

Long route - 247 Kilometres.

Medium route - 100 Kilometres.

Short route - 30 Kilometres.

 

The event will be supported by: Pas Normal Studios, Wahoo and Maurten nutrion.

All of the above traders will be present on the day with a pop-up store showing their products, there will also be an opportunity to try some products including Wahoo power pedals and shoes.

What you will receive on the day:

Competitors number with emergency contact details

Route Card with QR Code

Coffee and Pastry on arrival

Signage to identify any risks

Medi Bike roaming the route

Support vehicle roaming the route 

Well stocked feed-stations 

GPX file to all pre-entered riders via QR Code

Finishing medals to all pre-entered riders.

 

The route will be signed identifying risks, and confirmation markers throughout, however not every junction will be signed, therefore we strongly advise that you use a GPS cycle computer to navigate the route. 

If you do not have a cycle GPS computer we have access to 50 Wahoo computers pre-loaded with the event route, if you would like a computer to use free of charge please email us after registration to book your computer. 

When you collect your computer you will just need to provide a picture of your driving licence.

 

Note: this event will be limited to 500 participants, therefore be quick to pre-enter!

About the Event

Info for Riders

You will be able to sign on at Ride 24/7 Cycle shop on Saturday 22nd June from 10am until 8pm in the evening, this is when you can collect your rider number, and cycle computer for those that have requested one.

Riders that sign up on the long route will be set off from 6:30am.

Please Note: if the 247 route is becoming difficult there is a short cut through that will reduce the distance by a third, this will be made clear on the information pack sent out prior to the event.

The start time for the long route will be 6:30am, and the cut off for the Long Route will be 8pm.

There will be plenty of free parking close to the sign on and start, this will be marshalled on the day.

Medium and Short routes will depart from 10am.

Riders will be set off in waves.

Due to the roads not being closed we expect riders to be curtious to other road users, and abide by the rules of the Highway.
