About the Event

Info for Riders

The Longridge Long Ride Rotary Sportive is a fundraising event where the proceeds are used to support local charities through the Rotary Club, all staff are volunteers and cover their own costs.

This year our route heads east around Longridge Fell and through the pretty village of Waddington and out through Sawley to Holden where the first Feed Station will be on the Copy Nook car park. The short route turns left here and heads towards Slaidburn.  The other two routes head towards Hellifield and into North Yorkshire. After crossing the River Ribble the 100 K route turns right heading towards Barnoldswick where it meets the returning 100 M route, which has turned left over the River Ribble and headed to Airton and onward to the feed station at Bolton Abbey (47 miles ).

The return route goes South of Skipton and meets the 100 K route above Barnoldswick heading back to the feed Station at Copy Nook ( 76 miles for 100 M and  41 miles for the 100 K )

All routes join together back to Longridge through Newton, Dunsop Bridge, Whitewell and Chipping.

Almost all the routes are quiet country lanes with lovely villages and beautiful scenery.
