Back for 2024 is the UK calendar's premier early season race - The Peaks 2 Day

A huge thank you to Giant Sheffield who are once again sponsoring the event and allowing it to happen for its third edition. In what is a challenging time for race organisers, their support with this event means a great deal and will go a long way.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Peaks 2 Day over the last two years and the Yomp Bonk Crew events in general. It is a pleasure to get such great feedback and support on what we do and are working hard to organise the events UK racing needs. We are excited to be bringing back what has become a well loved event in 2024, bigger and better than ever before!

The Peaks 2 Day is a National B stage race on the 23rd and 24th of March 2024 in the Peak District. There will be men's and women's races with equal prize money, leaders jerseys and KOM jerseys. There will also be a team prize.

There will be a women’s TT followed by a men's road race on the Saturday morning and then a women's road race in the afternoon on the Bole Hill road race course. Sunday will hold a men's TT followed by a women's road race in the morning and a men's road race in the afternoon on the Carlecotes road race course (extended Hade Edge circuit) and Holme Moss TT course. This event is open to Elite, 1st, 2nd and 3rd category riders.

Entry Criteria

Field selection is at the discretion of the organiser. Team entries will be given priority but there will be some space for individual entries too. Although generally team entries will take priority, this will not always be the case e.g. a well esteemed rider taking priority over a team of low license category riders.

Team sizes are limited to a maximum of 4 riders for the men's event and 5 riders for the women's event. Two reserve riders can be submitted for each team, team substitutions can be made up until Saturday 16th of March 11:55pm. Entries close Sunday 3rd March 11:55pm. In the event that not all places are fulfilled, we will start to accept team reserve riders and increase team sizes. 

Entry per rider is £60. Teams can either enter riders individually on the BC event page and email James@yompbonkcrew.com to confirm team members, or team managers can enter via the team entry option on the BC event page. Composite teams are permitted if riders not part of a formal team are wishing to be included in the team prize.

Team cars are permitted in the convoy. Drivers must be named as a Team Manager on a valid British Cycling race licence and the vehicle should be appropriately insured. If a Team Manager wishes to be a part of the convoy, email James@yompbonkcrew.com no later than Saturday 16th of March 11:55pm with full name, date of birth, BC membership number, vehicle registration and vehicle make and model.

Only road bikes are permitted in the time trial stages.
