Revolution Reliability Ride 2024

Reliability Trial , Nairn – Saturday, 16 Mar 2024

Event Summary

Event Overview

Revolution Cycle Team would like to invite you to our first (hopefully of many) British Cycling event especially after the cold put paid to last years event.

Reliability Rides are traditionally a long distance ride at the end of Winter to test your fitness, equipment and navigation skills.  Similar to an Audax, in that there are no signposts, marshals or a broom wagon, it is up to the individual to know the course or navigate from a bike computer. Reliability Rides normally give a time limit for completion, but we don’t feel that’s necessary. Choose a route and do it at your own pace.

How far?

Revolution CT caters for cyclists of all abilities so have set out a short route (37 miles) and a longer distance route (56 miles).  We will start at the beautiful Nairn beach and stop at Dunbar Hall in Auldearn for tea/coffee with sandwiches and cakes.

The routes will be uploaded with links shortly before the event.  This is a non-competitive event, not a race so round up your mates, make sure your bike is in good working order (with mudguards please) and come along for a nice ride on our quiet roads with lovely views.

UPDATE 05/01/24.

The LONG ROUTE is almost full.  I can't find the setting to take some spaces out of the Short Route and add them to the Long so just enter the Short and I send both routes out to everyone anyway.

Details of parking etc will be sent to each rider in a basic event manual.

Riders will be set off in groups starting at 9:30 from outside Nairn Cricket Pavillion in the Links/West beach area of Nairn - NOTE that we do not have access to the inside but the nearby toilets will be open.  Please also try not to block the path outside the pavillion when gathering.
