Event Overview

Battle of Black Loch returns for 2024 and will include the Scottish National Junior Open Road Race Championships.

 

The race will take place on the 14.9km Black Loch Slamannan route and will take the format of a Cat 2/3/4 Regional A race.

 

1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded for both the Senior Open, and Junior Open categories. The Junior Open race will be awarded National Championship Medals and Jersey.

 

*Entries for the Junior Open Championships will close 2 weeks before the event (June 30th @ 10am). No late entries will be accepted for the championship, but can still take part in the open race.

As per the new British Cycling Transgender and Non-binary policy, the "Open" category is accessible by all riders. The Junior open championship is accessible by all riders given they meet the Scottish National Championship eligibility criteria (see information for riders). About the Event

Info for Riders

The race will take place on the 14.9km Black Loch Slamannan route and will take the format of a Cat 2/3/4 Regional A race.

For the Scottish National Junior Open Road Race Championships only!

All Scottish Cycling National Championships require riders to hold a full racing licence and riders must meet one of the following eligibility criteria;

a) SC/BC members (members of clubs affiliated to SC).

b) Scottish Nationals (persons born in Scotland).

c) Scottish Residents (persons who have lived in Scotland for three of the last five years).

d) Persons who have at least one parent who was born in Scotland.

e) Members of the armed forces who meet none of the above, but who by necessity are required to live in Scotland away from their normal residence. Persons in sections (b), (c), (d) and (e) must be members of an UCI recognised Cycling Federation.

It will be the responsibility of Scottish Cycling to check eligibility for entrants and communicate this directly to Event Organisers and entrants.

Entries will close at 23:55 on Sunday 30th June

No late entries will be accepted, there will be no exceptions.
