If the weather if good...

We expect the long route event to be very busy.  To avoid sending off too many riders at once, you may be allocated a start time when registering.

Parking

We have limited parking at the hall and the lane outside is narrow.  Please park and ride from residential roads in nearby Droitwich if you can.

What happens on a reliability ride?

  • Reliability Rides are for all abilities. Some Reliability Rides will set riders off in groups of average speed varying from 20mph to 12mph with the fastest riders leaving first. Others have no organised start, with riders setting off when they choose and riding with whomever they choose. Some may choose to ride the event as a test of their abilities whilst others will ride at a more comfortable pace for banter with other riders.
  • A warm welcome will be provided for returning riders with hot drinks, cake and possibly even more cake.
  • Traditionally the route is not signposted but a basic route map or description may be provided.  We will provide exact route details in due course.  These will be available to entrants as a GPS file.
  • The event may be busy, so parking at Salwarpe Village Hall may be tight. If you are within riding distance of our HQ, please engage those cleats and toddle into to see us by riding to the start.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Depending upon numbers on-the-day, we may set off riders in groups at 10 minute intervals for the longer most popular ride at  08:50; 09:00; 09:10

Worcestershire highways are maintained to a good standard but given the time of year you can expect some post winter pot holes and detritus from adjacent fields.  The routes are untreated and this will need to be considered if icy.

There is no broom vehicle or formal rescue service but if you do experience serious problems then please call the organiser on 07969 079242 and we will see if we can assist.

If you are unable to finish call 07969 079242, so that we know you are safe and not lost in the depths of darkest Worcestershire.
