GRAVEL CRITERIUM RACING hosted by RIDE FLUX
Get ready for a ground-breaking event that's about to transform your perception of racing! "The Grits" - our Gravel Crit Test Event - is taking the thrill of crit racing and elevating it to a whole new level.
A combination of Criterium & Gravel racing, with a spectacular race through a HUGE BARN every lap! All within a 1km circuit.
Start time and approx. race lengths:
10.15am to 10.45am - All under 16 Youth course practice.
11am - Charlies Birthday Bash! - 10 mins race for Under 6 & 8.
11.20am - Dusty Dash! - 15 mins race for Under 10 & 12.
11.45am - Gravel Rumble! - 30 mins race for Under 14 & 16.
Youth podium presentation.
12.20pm to 12.50pm - All Junior & Senior course practice.
1pm - The Woman's Gravel Grinder! - 35 min race for Junior & Senior Women.
1.45pm - The Men's Gravel Grinder! 45 mins race for Junior & Senior Men.

About the Event
Info for Riders
85% Gravel & 15% Tarmac including racing through a huge barn!
Suitable bikes may be Gravel specific, MTB or CX. Hybrid bikes / road bikes may be suitable but we recommend an off road capable tyre. Two working brakes, bar plugs, and a suitable helmet are required. Gloves recommended.
E-Bikes, recumbents and clip on aero bars are not permitted.
For parking follow the signs for the Showground off the A40.
Sign on & food van will be inside the Barn opposite the parking and start straight.
We've scoured the beautiful landscapes of Wales and found the perfect venue for this revolution - Carmarthen Showground. But we didn't stop there. In true Ride Flux fashion, we're pushing boundaries and breaking norms. That's why we've even planned a circuit that takes you racing through a massive barn! music and big time race atmosphere!
We want to make a great day out of the event, using it as a test to see if grit racing is viable, and worthy of a series in the summer!
You see, we understand the limitations of traditional crit racing, where safe circuits are hard to come by. "The Grits" have emerged to shatter those limitations. Now, short, fast, and exhilarating bunch races don't need to be confined to tarmac. With the rise of gravel endurance events, we've found the ideal space for The Grits - where speed meets variety, and where the thrill of circuit racing meets the rugged beauty of gravel paths.

On arrival:
Sign on Opens 10am, please give the early races priority in the queue. Sign on will close 10 mins before each race.
Course practice -
