Info for Riders

VENUE:

Gaddens Close Farm, Charles’s Lane, Crow Hill, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 3FB

The race venue is situated just 3 miles from the Picket Post junction off the A31 and will be signed from Picket Post. 

Please drive carefully around free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys on New Forest roads.  They have right of way. 

The entrance is a gravel track leading to the car park in the bottom field. The entrance and exit tracks will be one way, so please follow the signs as the tracks are narrow.  The tracks are potholed and rough.  Please drive carefully. 

GETTING THERE:

Heading south and west from the M3/M27/A31: exit at the junction off the A31 signposted to Burley.  The event will be signed from the roundabout after the sliproad. Turn left at the roundabout, then right at the junction and continue across the heath. Take the first right, just before the Burley village sign, and continue right.  Take the first left into Charles’s Lane and continue until you see the signs for the event.   

Heading south and east from A338/A31: for riders coming down the A338, on reaching the roundabout at Ringwood, beneath the A31 overpass, take the first exit onto the A31 and continue up the hill to the junction signposted to Burley.  Take the exit, go down the hill and turn right to go underneath the A31.  Follow the road up onto the heath and continue across the heath. Take the first right, just before the Burley village sign, and continue right.  Take the first left into Charles’s Lane and continue until you see the signs for the event.  

ON THE DAY ENTRIES:

There will be entries on the day - CASH ONLY - please bring the correct amount.  

There will be a DAY LICENCE FEE of £3 for all riders OVER 16 , ie Juniors and above, who do not have a valid British Cycling race licence (Ride members and non -members). If your membership card has the word RACE on it and has not expired then you do not need a day licence.

An information pack will be emailed to all pre-entered riders a couple of days before the race.  We look forward to seeing you.
