Race Format

The race will generally be the same as any other Cyclocross race, a gridding area, start and finish line, and the course marked out with tape (maybe not all of it).

The adults will start at the front and the Youth riders will start 1 min behind. The adults will be mixed gridding, if you have a preference to start at the back please let the organiser know or simply slot in when all the names have been called.

This is a test event to see if the format will work and if successful then we do plan to put on a Winter series, which will run on a Thursday evening.

The races need to be entered by 23:55 on the Sunday evening prior to the event. You can enter on the day but you won’t be gridded and you’ll be starting from the back.

 

Gridding for those that pre enter will be mixed and totally random as this is a test event

 

The cost to race for an adult (>16y/o) is £10  and a Youth (U14 / U16) is £5.

 

ALL of the money raised will be invested back into what will be a successful series

 

Age Categories:

• Youth Male & Female - (Born U14 – born in 2010 or 2011 / U16 – born in  2008 or 2009)
• Adult (born >2005 / Junior – born 2006 - 2007)

 

Event schedule:

• Course opens for practice (20 minutes) - 7pm
• Gridding - 7.20pm
• Race Starts - Juniors/Adults, 7.30pm, youth start 1 minute after

 

• Course tear down - please help for 10 mins if you're around.
