West Midlands Regional Cyclocross Championships and Round 4 of the Shimano Lazer West Midlands Cyclo-Cross League (WMCCL) - hosted by Wolverhampton Wheelers at Aldersley Stadium.

Race Day Format

10:00 - Under 6 and Under 8 Boys and Girls - 10 minute race

10:20 - Under 10 Boys and Girls - 10 to 15 minute race

10:45 - Under 12 Boys and Girls - 15 to 20 minute race

11:10-11:30 - Course Practice (sections of the main course will be accessible during the prior races)

11:30 - Youth (U-14 and U16) Boys and Girls - 30 minute race

12:15 - Junior and Veteran 50+ Men - 40 minute race

13:05-13:35 - Course Practice

13:35 - Junior, Senior and Veteran Women - 40 minute race

14:30 - Senior and Veteran 40+ Men - 50 minute race.

 

Regional Championship races will be held in Youth A/B, Junior, u23, Senior & Veteran categories 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and over 75.

Non championship support races will be held in the u6/u8/u10/u12 categories.

There are no on-the-day entries for Championship races and these must be entered in advance via RiderHQ.

Only members of British Cycling from the West Midlands Region are eligible to enter championship races.

Non-championship support u12 races can be entered online but can also be entered on-the-day. Riders in u12 support races do not need BC Membership.

Info for Riders

Unlike a regular league event Junior (M) riders will race at 12.15

Riders competing in the British Cycling Regional Championship races must have a valid British Cycling Membership stating West Midlands Region to be eligible to ride. Your membership card should state which region you are in but if you are in doubt you can check which British Cycling Region your postcode is in via the following link: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/clubs/article/bcst-Regional---Home-Country-Postcodes

In accordance with British Cycling regulations, British Cycling members without ‘Race’ membership (full or provisional licence) must pay a ‘day licence’ surcharge on top of their entry fee (£3.00 for Junior & above) to take part in this event.

Gridding will be based on Cyclocross National Rankings.

Riders without valid British Cycling Membership stating West Midlands are ineligible and cannot ride in the British Cycling Regional Championships Races.

Non-championship support races (u6/u8/u10/u12)

These events do not require a BC membership and will run as a regular WMCCL event with online on-the-day entry available.
