Welsh Cycling U12 and Improvers Track Session #1

Go-Ride , Newport – Wednesday, 06 Sep 2023

Event Summary

Event Overview

Welsh Cycling U12 and Improvers Track Sessions are back for autumn 2023!

There will be a series of 4 sessions in September to prepare riders for the Welsh Youth Track Championships on the 30th September. The sessions are aimed at U12 and U14 riders (and open to U16s who have little track experience).

All riders must ensure they:

  • Can ride at the top of the track.
  • Can ride in a line and change.
  • Can ride next to another rider.

If you don't feel like you can do the above yet, please attend Newport Live sessions which will help you reach this level (taster sessions, track attack sessions and development sessions will help here).

The sessions will focus on building a rider's confidence, focusing on the technical, physical and tactical elements required to race.

If you are unsure whether you are suitable for the session or would like any advice on track sessions or the Welsh Youth Track Championships please get in touch! ffion.james@welshcycling.co.uk
