Hilly road race over 1.5 laps of amalgamated Midmar & Midmar West circuits (SCU 161, 161Link & 239).

Open to male riders categories 3/4 and Ladies all categories plus juniors (male & female).

The race will incorporate the Scottish Cycling North East Scotland Group Ladies Road Race for racers representing applicable regional clubs.

 

Nominal race distance 35 miles.

Prizes

There will be prizes for the top 3 ladies, top junior, top 4th Cat, Combativity Award and Lantern Rouge.

Male prizes will be the same.

Additionally there will be a prize for the SCNEG Ladies Road Race for ladies representing applicable clubs.

 

Entry closing date will be 1st October.

THIS IS A COMPETITIVE COURSE - TRAINING REQUIRED PRIOR TO TAKING PART IN THIS EVENT

Aberdeen Wheelers CC is promoting a Quines & Loons Road Race on Sunday 8th October 2023.

This Race will include the SCNEG Ladies Road Race for those racing for applicable regional clubs..

 

Sign on open from 0900 at HQ, sign on will close at 1000.

Midmar is 16 miles west of Aberdeen just off the B9119 Tarland Road, Midmar Hall is located just through the village at the top of the hill, there are ample car parking spaces, additional car parking can be found in the school in the centre of the village.

Race leaves HQ (neutralised) heading south to B9119, left turn on B9119 to Echt, left turn on B977 to Dunecht, left turn on A944 to Millbank, left turn on to B993. Start climb 0.1 miles after turn, climb prime 1.1 miles after turn. Second climb 3 miles after turn, second prime at 3.6 miles from turn. Left turn (Tarland Road) onto B9119 to Echt. Continue onto second lap. The Finish will be at the second KQOM Prime (as per lap one).
