Closed Circuit FAMILY LEISURE RIDE in Redcar

Event Overview

Redcar will play host to the National Criterium Championships on Friday night.

 

BEFORE the Elites and professionals take to the closed road circuit, there is a chance for families of all abilities to take to the closed road circuit for a Leisure ride. 

TIME: 4pm (assemble) 

TIME ON CIRCUIT: 4.15 until 5.30pm.  (you can do as long or short as you like within that time frame!)

  • Fully closed roads
  • Ride under the British Cycling Gantry!
  • Bikes available 
  • Balance bikes 
  • Competitive games at the end
  • British Cycling qualified coaches on hand 
  • Please bring a safety helmet if you have one

 

Access for this event will be via Granville Terrace ONLY

Bikes will be provided on a first come first served basis.

All abilities welcome. 

 

There will be British Cycling coaches on hand, who will also have a small number of bikes available for this session.

There will be a small competitive element at the end for children that would like to partake. 

 

This is a rare opportunity to ride on closed, traffic free roads!
