The Tri-Regional Women’s Road Race Championship is back for 2023! This is your chance to race to become Regional champion across the South-East, East and Central Regions.

In previous years this race has been hotly contested and entries have been high. Riders are to enter individually via the BC website.

Please note – this Championship race is only for riders within the South-East, East and Central BC Regions. Please do not enter if you are not affiliated to these regions. Your entry will not be processed.

Parking

Parking will be at the HQ. Please follow marshals’ instructions and be respectful to our local residents.

Please do not park in either of the pub’s carparks, or on the main Handcross Road (the course).

Prizes

Due to support from GS Mossa and its sponsors, there will be multiple prizes on the day. Structure of this will be confirmed in the pre-race pack. 

Prizes have kindly been donated by Salice, Squirt, Vittoria & Four4th Lights with more to come!

 

Sign on, Refreshments and Toilets

  • The sign on station will be within the Handcross Village Hall HQ.
  • NO CLEATS are to be worn within the Village Hall.
  • Rider sign on will open at 13:00 and close at 14:10. You must sign on before 14:10 or your place in the race will be allocated to a reserve.
  • You must present your current British Cycling license at sign on.
  • REFRESHMENTS - will be available at the HQ. 
  • TOILETS – Will be available at the HQ. There are no shower or changing facilities. Please do not hold up traffic in the toilets for changing.
  • Rider entry acceptance at the organisers discretion.



Rider Information

  • The race will be 90km and cover 6 laps of the course.
  • Course Details - https://www.strava.com/routes/8733096
  • RIDER BRIEFING - Riders briefing will take place outside the HQ at 14:20 and will be followed by a short neutral section down to the start of the course.
  • OFFICIALS BRIEFING - Officials briefing will take place at 13:50 next to the sign on station.
  • FEED ZONE - The feed zone will be immediately after the finish line for 100m. Feeding can take place on every lap except the last lap.
  • RACE SAFETY - The race will have accredited marshal (AMS) coverage at the junctions and NEG moto marshal team, along with static red flag marshals and race convoy to help keep riders, officials and the general public safe. Please note though, that even with all this in place, the onus has to be on the riders to keep themselves safe - remember you're on public roads!
