2025 RED RAT RAMPAGE off road bike challenge Sunday 21st September start & finish in Eyam - slap bang in the middle of the gorgeous Peak District!!   MAKE A DATE IN YOUR DIARY & WATCH THIS SPACE FOR THE ''ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN'' ANNOUNCMENT....coming soon!!   Open to all MTBs, e-MTBs, Gravel & Adventure bikes!!   For younger families/novice riders - there's a 'BLUE' route of 13km   for those with more experience/endurance try the RED (approx 40km & 950m ascent)   or for those who like a real challenge... try the BLACK for the super fit 'die hard' riders...approx 55km & 1300m ascent - enough to get your teeth into??   (BEWARE SOME DESCENTS MAY REQUIRE DISMOUNTING DEPENDING ON YOUR LEVEL OF SKILL, BIKE TYPE & EXPERIENCE)   ENTRY INCLUDES:
  • Signed & Marshalled routes
  • Feed stations with delicious home made tray bakes
  • FREE parking & toilet facilities at the start

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A RACE & is limited to 275 riders.

 

Route GPXs & Risk assessments are on the official website –

PLEASE NOTE RIDER INFO WILL BE UPDATED once entry closes
SO PLEASE check before departing on you journey ON the day!

( The GPXs are yet to be modified please await notification these have been updated nearer the time)

 

Entry will be strictly first come first served via the British Cycling entry system.

 

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS ARE AVAVILABLE UNTIL JUNE 30TH

 

Please NOTE-  NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY 

 

Riders participating in BLACK/Long route (Bubonicator) MUST register between 8.15 & 9am & DEPART BY NO LATER THAN 9.30am

(Riders arriving at Marshall point at the split off from the RED after 12noon will NOT be allowed to continue on theBLACK route & will be diverted back on the  RED route!)

 

Riders participating in RED/medium  route (Ring O Roses) MUST register between  9am & 9.45am & DEPART BY NO LATER THAN 10am

 

Riders participating in the  BLUE/shortest route (Splat the Rat) MUST REGISTER between 10.30am – 12noon & depart by 12.30

 

Limited FREE Parking available in the village car park on Hawk Hill rd, adhjacent to Public Conveniences.

 

Participation is entirely at your own risk - Please ensure you have your own personal accident insurance - this can be purchased seperately through British Cycling. 

ALL ROUTES PASS ALONG PUBLIC HIGHWAYS & OFF- ROAD TRAILS SO PLEASE, PLEASE BE COURTEOUS TO ALL OTHER USERS , ESPECIALLY FAMILIES WITH DOGS & CHILDREN ON SHARED TRAILS.

 

THE WEARING OF HELMETS IS MANDATORY. Any rider not wearing a helmet will be deemed to be not part of the event.
