15 WEEKS OF WEDNESDAY EVENING RACING - WEDS 3rd MAY TO  WEDS 9th AUG 2023
This season we have increased our offering to offer some new races and a new championship. The King of the Bomber remain unchanged as do our popular 'Intro to Racing' evenings but we have added a new 'Rookie of the Year' championship to come from the men's cat. 3/4 races. As ever, juniors are very welcome at all our races. Sadly there is no overall Queen trophy in 2023 due to to low entries, several cancelled races and many changes in race categories make it impossible.

WEDNESDAY TIMETABLE 2023
6.30pm
Arrive & Sign on (NO EARLIER)

ENTRY FEES
£17.00 in advance / £20 on the day.

THE CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR 2023
King of the Bomber - Men's cat 2/3 - Best 5 results from 6 rounds - with sprint primes
Rookie of the Year - Men's cat. 3/4 - Best 5 results from 6 rounds - with sprint primes

Standard BC Regional C+ ranking points for top ten: 1st=10,   2nd=8,  3rd=7,  4th=6,  5th=5,  6th=4,  7th=3,  8th=2,  9th=1,  10th=1
.
Bomber points mirror BC points and if less than 10 riders start full Bomber points still apply.

In the event of a points tie at the end of the season the higher number of wins triumphs. If still a tie then a higher number of 2nd places, 3rd places triumphs etc. Sprint prime results do not count.

PRIZES
This season we intend to prioritise volunteer’s expenses over rider prizes but cash prizes will be on offer when we have the numbers to be able to afford it.
Winners on the night will receive a cool Santini Bomber cap!

The King, Queen and Rookie of the year will take home £100 cash and a framed & titled action photo from the season.

SPRINT PRIMES IN KING & ROOKIE CHAMPIONSHIP RACES ONLY (2,1 Bomber Points)
There will be a sprint prime lap at our championship races but never within the first or final 5 laps. The start of the sprint lap will be signaled by a long whistle on the line and the end of the lap by a waved white flag. The top two will take 2, 1 Bomber points.

PULLED RIDERS
If a single or small group of riders who are way out of the points are deemed to be a possible obstruction approaching the last lap then they will be pulled out within the last five laps. Their finishing position will be where they finished at the end of the previous lap.

SIGNING ON & NUMBER PLACEMENT
Signing on is under the covered area in the main car park near the clubhouse. Pre-entry is preferred as it is quicker for everybody and cheaper for you ! Numbers need to be pinned LEFT SIDE.  Parking is much improved this season and is now to the left nearer the clubhouse.

FIRST AID
Although we have an excellent safety record at the Bomber, professional first aid is present at every round.

Refunds are only give in extreme cases and at the discretion of the Event Organiser - an entry is a commitment to ride. No transfers to other rounds.
