Hamsterley Beast

Offroad Endurance , County Durham – Sunday, 14 May 2023

Event Summary

Event Overview

It’s back after a 4-year hiatus.

The route is split in to two lengths this year 40 miles, 20 miles. All of which start and finish within Hamsterley forest. Details of the younger rider’s route will follow.

As with previous years, it's a challenge and NOT a race. The challenge is to finish!! The event is open to anyone, young and old, teams and individuals, both serious and fun cyclists. Hamsterley Beast event team thrive to offer a fun, professional and a safe event, with a very relaxed atmosphere. But it goes without saying the riding and backdrops are at the top of everyone's list. It doesn't matter what you ride or how you ride it, we're all just there to have fun and raise some money for the Great North Air Ambulance Services and Hamsterley Trailblazer. Who are also celebrating their 20th year of building and maintaining the trails within the forest.

This year the Beast is really knocking it up a notch! Following the success of previous years mini music festival, we will be bringing you even more live music, food and beer.

There are a limited number of camping spots, so it’s best to get your camping booked early.  Camping information and costs can be found here.
