East Midlands Youth League Championship

The EMYL is a series of 4 races at circuits in the East Midlands British Cycling region. Races are open
to all British Cycling members and will be held at Yarborough (Lincoln), Harvey Hadden
(Nottingham), Darley Moor (Ashbourne) and Leicester Cycle Circuit (Leicester). The event will use
Chip Timing and points will be awarded to all competitors which will count towards series prizes.

Please note that you can still enter the event even if you are not an East Midlands rider.  There are also podiums with medals for the results on the day.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Please note that there is a slight amendment to the schedule so that we can run the U8’s & U10’s separately, please note the change of times for some races:

The U8’s race time will remain the same at 9:30am

The U10’s race will change from 9:30 to 9:50am

The U12’s race will change from 9:50 to 10:10am

The U14 Boys race will change from 10:30 to 10:40am

The U14 & U16 Girls race time will remain the same at 11:30am

The U16 Boys race time will remain the same at 12:30pm

We use British Cycling’s online entry system for race participants. These races will use Chip Timing so
entries on the day WILL NOT be accepted.

If you do not have a race license, you will need to speak to British Cycling membership team who will
walk you through how to obtain one. Once you receive it, make sure it is signed.

Refunds will not be given for competitors wishing to withdraw from the event. An alternative date
will be offered at one of our future events (Outside of the EMYL series). If any race is cancelled due
to the UK Government, Circuit Owners or British Cycling, we will offer a partial refund taking into
account any costs incurred.

Signing on will open at least 1 hour before the first race.

Chip Timing

We will be utilising RFiD chip timing at this event to provide results on the day and to provide
qualifying points for the East Midlands Youth League (EMYL). Chips are fitted to the fork leg of the
bike before the race using cable ties. The Chip will be removed by one of our team at the end of the
race before the competitor leaves the circuit. If for whatever reason, the competitor does not return
the Chip at the end of the race, a charge will be levied of £90.00.

East Midlands Youth League Championship

All competitors with a British Cycling membership will be eligible for EMYL points.

Points will be awarded as 1 st = 50, 2 nd = 49, 3 rd = 48…, 48 th = 3, 49 th = 2, 50 th = 1.

The top three East Midlands Region competitors at the final round will be awarded a series prize in addition to any individual event prizes.

If a competitor from outside of the region finishes in the top 3, they will also win a prize as
long as they have attended all 4 rounds.
