Info for Riders

Friday 28th July 2023

Registration and Camping at Panpunton Farm, Knighton from 16.00 – registration closes 19.30. Rock-up, park the car and find a pitch to camp.  The market town of Knighton with it's pubs and restaurants is just a 5 minute walk away.

Saturday 29th July 2023

Wake up  and ready yourself for the adventure that lies ahead. Depart by 8.00am and leave your tent with our friendly staff – Bagman’s got you covered!

Today’s route starts with a few kms of tarmac before going off piste up the mighty Goytre Hill. You may find this first ramp arduous and a bit of pushing required but fear not; the views from the top are well worth the effort and the remaining parcours becomes less punishing. Enjoy the quiet lanes and long gravel sections as the Trans Cambrian Way threads through the beautiful welsh countryside on the route less travelled. Take time to rest and refuel at Rhayader before traversing the stunning Elan Valley with its Victorian reservoirs.

And if you have any energy left use it! Our food concessions, music and bar should keep you occupied throughout the evening at the amazing Pafiliwn Bont, Pontrhydfendigaid.

Sunday 30th July 2023

Another day of glorious scenery as we loop north and east back to Knighton. Rest up at one of the myriad view points to enjoy your picnic in the great outdoors.

The final stretches trace Offa’s Dyke back south along the English border before the final descent into Knighton. Fancy a dip in the river?
