2023 Clifton Clevedon Charity Cycle

OnRoad Leisure , Bristol – Sunday, 21 May 2023

Event Summary

Event Overview

A fully-supported leisurely cycle with a choice of start points - Clifton to Clevedon & back, or Clevedon to Clifton & back. So it's very much a 'day out' kind of thing that's intended to appeal to as many people as possible - the aim being to demonstrate the relative ease and pleasure of travelling between these two great West Country locations by bike, and then spending some time enjoying what they each have to offer.

The fairly gentle route has been designed to be as accommodating as possible and it offers participants the chance for a great day out by bike between these two lovely places, as it guides them along a mixture of quiet roads and cycle paths.

So whatever you wear and whatever sort of bike you have, this event is suitable for pretty much anyone who wants to discover just how easy & enjoyable it is to travel between Clifton and Clevedon using pedal power!

About the Event

Info for Riders

This route is expressly designed to demonstrate the relative ease with which people can travel between Clifton and Clevedon by bike, and also to show the enjoyment that's to be had when doing this. A great local day out, by bike.

And there are two start location options - either from Queens Square in Clevedon or from West Mall Gardens in Clifton. You just need to choose your preferred start point from the two Ride options on the Entry page.

You can also take a look at the likely routes, if you wish, by clicking on the links under 'Event Updates' (these are currently provisional but provide a very good guide to what lies in store).

So everyone's welcome to give it a try, and it absolutely does NOT matter what anyone's wearing clothes-wise or what type of bike they're riding - LEISURELY being the key to this event!

And the event timings are such that participants are free (and EXPECTED!) to spend some time exploring their destination location without being under any real time pressure to complete their return journey.

Finally, please note that 50% of the nominal entry fee for the event is actually a charity donation and this money will be donated directly to Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity to support the great work it does in our local hospitals.
