Welsh Cycling U12 and Improvers Track Sessions are a series of linked, progressive sessions that will run weekly from October throughout the whole year. The sessions are for riders who meet the following criteria:

  • Have attended a taster session and beginners course with Newport Live
  • U12 rider or U14/U16 rider who has little track experience
  • Want to or is already racing on the Track
  • Welsh eligible

What to bring to the session:

  • Track bike*
  • Rollers
  • Completed consent form

 

Ideally, please email a consent form in advance of the session to Ffion.james@welshcycling.co.uk. You will NOT be able to attend the session until a consent form is seen.

*Bikes are available for long-term rental from Welsh Cycling. Please ask the coach for more details, or email ffion.james@welshcycling.co.uk

 

Aim of the sessions:

  • Build Track skills and confidence
  • Improve fitness and strength
  • Increase understanding of racing and improve racing ability

The sessions will include a mixture of skills, efforts, coach-led racing and discussions in order to achieve these goals.
