Friday Night Hot Laps Series # 2

Cyclo-Cross , Cheltenham – Friday, 01 Jul 2022

Event Summary

Event Overview

We will be running the Friday Night Hot Laps series again this year at Pittville Park on the following days; 24th June, 1st July, and 8th July.

Starting from 6 pm, you can ride your bike around a specially laid out course to test your skills and have some fun. And then from 7 pm, there will be a hot lap time trial where you’ll get to see how quickly you can circumnavigate the course.

You can use any bike that’s in reasonable working order. Something with wide tyres is best. If it’s dry ground, your road bike will be fine as long as you don’t mind the odd bumpy section!

We hope this will be a good spectator and social event so feel free to bring a picnic and some refreshments along.

They’ll be some teas, coffees and cakes on sale too.

There will also be mountain bike skills displays and other razzmatazz.

To sign up for the riding, you’ll need to register over on the British Cycling website. The fee is just £3. The minimum age is 14 and we will favour local riders if the events are oversubscribed. You can sign up on the night too if there is any space left.

All abilities are welcome, so please come along and test your skills and have some fun on a specially laid out course, then see how quickly you can do your Hot Laps Time Trial (approx 10 minutes).

There will also be a cyclocross race, including a novice category, on Sunday 24th July (Pittville Park) so please add that date to your calendars.

Location: Pitville Park/Grass CycloCross Course next to the Prince of Wales Stadium.

Entry: Online, or register on the day, only £3 per event for the Friday Night Hot Laps. The prices for the cyclocross race in July will be announced closer to the time.

See you there!
