The 2022 OLPCX is a race that will be run as a stand alone event as part of the Yorkshire CycloCross Association (YCCA) summer series. A Sheffield Urban CX event attracts a wide variety of riders of all ages, from those who want to push themselves and battle out racing rivalries to those who just want to try cycle sport for the first time.

The venue is a pedal turn away from the finish line of stage 2 of the 2012 Tour de France, and we are super chuffed to have the opportunity to reignite the cycling legacy of this area of the city. The OLP has lots of interesting landscaping and open space, the main part of the course is on grass and is focused on the two hills in the Olympic Legacy Park.

The format, categories and round durations will be in line with the rest of the YCCA races that are running in 2022, this will mean the racing environment is easy for riders familiar with YCCA events to recognise, and straightforward for new riders to understand.
