A series of 5 linked, progressive MTB sessions for youth riders in Wales, running every other Thursday 6-8pm at Mountain View Bike Park:

9th June

23rd June

7th July

Criteria:

  • Youth A/B priority (2nd year youth C dependent on numbers and ability - please email if interested)
  • Looking to start racing or already racing
  • Welsh eligible
  • Can ride blue and red trails at most trail centres

Goals:

  • Improve core MTB skills
  • Learn about the demands of XC racing
  • Improve technical and physical ability off-road
  • Feel confident to enter a MTB race, if not already racing

Please also complete at least sections 1,2 and 7 of this parental consent form and email in advance or bring to the session:

Please bring:

  • An (XC) MTB with at least front suspension in good working order and clean, set up with flat pedals
  • MTB clipless pedals (e.g. spds, if this is what you usually ride), with a tool to change them
  • Appropriate flat pedal and clipless shoes
  • The spares you would usually carry on a ride – puncture kit, multi tool etc.
  • Water and snacks
