PEAK ROUGH STUFF RIDE - PRS01

Offroad Endurance , Bakewell – Sunday, 29 May 2022

Event Summary

Event Overview

MONTHLY OFF-ROAD RIDE EXPLORING THE HEART OF THE PEAK DISTRICT

MAY'S ROUTE: 64km/1200m climb (40 miles/3930').

Gravel, mountain and cyclocross bikes all welcome!

Entry for each ride is £10.00 (+£1 BC fee) - closing at 6pm the day before each ride.

  • FREE OTE SPORTS bidon and energy bar to the first 25 entrants.

THE rolling landscape of the White Peak is criss-crossed by ancient trackways and punctuated by stunning limestone dales. Ride our Peak Rough Stuff Rides and you'll explore a different off-road circuit each month, starting from Summat Cafe & Gym in Bakewell, that will provide a stern challenge but not an ordeal.

These are unsigned, self-sufficient rides - suitable for gravel, mountain or cyclocross bikes - and will take you over little-known tracks, trails and lanes, away from the weekend crowds. For each ride you'll get a GPX file and a printed route card for navigation and we'll have a ride leader who will ride with the slowest riders.

NB. The routes will not be signposted; you will be following a GPS file and/or a printed route sheet.

With the kind support of: OTE Sports, Summat Sports, Ride.Run, Cyclocrossrider.com, Yomp Bonk Crew & British Cycling.

MONTHLY OFF-ROAD RIDES (using a different route):

Sunday 26th June, 2022 - The Eastern Moors.

Sunday 24th July, 2022 - Circuit of Bakewell.

Open to all - you don't have to be a member of British Cycling. 16 and 17 year olds must have a BC Parental Consent Form signed by a parent/guardian and handed in at sign on (download here).
