Event Overview
125K Charity gravel ride from Hackney London to Whitstable on the Kent coast raising money for Ukraine refugees and the refugee counsel. A truly iconic route . From East London and the lower lea Valley to the Thames path and then the North Downs way to the far Kent coast and the idyllic town of Whitstable all in one day. Nothing too technical and on a good day suitable for almost any bike (28mm tyres plus recommended) , with stunning landscapes and locations this will truly be a very memorable day out. Al profits will going to refugee charities.
GPX files for the route will be release on entry. We expect the ride will take about 7 hours with stops on the way. Please come prepared for all eventualities and weather conditions. Start will be from Hub Velo in Lower Clapton with free coffee and the shop will be open for last minute purchases .Event Details

About the Event
Info for Riders
The ride will be non-signed but mapped out with a GPX route so please bear this mind. It's 125KM with 876M of climbing. On a good day the ride will be possible on a road bike with robust tyres (28mm and above recommended). There is 8KM if single track trails the remainder in cycleway, path and road. It will be self supported and the there is a train straight back from Whitstable to London Victoria in 1.20 hours. It is unsupported but there are plenty of spots for coffee and lunch on the way. We recommend Gravesend end as a good half way point. The start will be from Hub Velo in lower Clapton with free coffee and the shop will be open. The finish will be at venue in Whitstable, location on entry.
*The ride encounters 1 Ferry at Woolwich. However there is an option to use the tunnel.
*The return train from Whitstable is to Kings Cross or Victoria £12
