Welcome to the Peaky Blinder & Cheeky Grinder!

 

One event. Pick your route or any combination of routes. The Peaky Blinder takes place on local roads, while the Cheeky Grinder is a gravel ride.

 

You can ride as many laps of either circuit as you want between 9.00am and 3pm, but you must start your last lap of either route before the 3pm cut-off time. 

 

The final routes will be published two weeks before the event.

 

The Peaky Blinder route (Road) will be around 35 miles long.

 

The Cheeky Grinder route (Gravel) will be around 30-35 miles long. The route will use our local knowledge to take in the small lanes, bridleways, tracks, drove roads and green lanes.  Suitable for Gravel/CX/Adventure bikes, or MTB.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Both routes start and finish from Cafe Marina, Kestel Court.  You will find our fantastic feed station here as well as the included drink of your choice and hot food from 12pm onwards when you've called it a day.  The social element of the event is part of it's DNA.  We are a local cycling club and not a commercial organiser.

 

Entry

Entry costs just £25.00 per rider and includes:

  • Rider number
  • Fully signed road route (The Blinder)
  • The Gravel route (The Grinder) will only be marked at key locations.
  • GPX files / Ride with GPS routes will be availavble to download
  • Mechanical support
  • The legendary feed station - By Sandwi
  • Post ride hot food - At Cafe Marina 
  • 1 complementary soft or alcoholic drink.

When you have parked, please go to the registration area to sign on and collect your rider number from a marshal. Saturday collections will be available if you are local.

 

Parking

There is plenty of free parking available locally. If you need any further information please drop us an email and we'll give you the best option.

 

Can I bring 2 bikes? If you want to bring a gravel bike and a road bike that’s great. We’ll provide a secure ticketed area for safe storage, you can of course use your own lock as well for additional piece of mind.

 

Juniors

Youth riders aged 12 to 16 can take part in the event as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Riders over the age of 16 can ride solo, subject to the completion of a parental or guardian consent form.  

 

Essentials

We recommend you carry two spare inner tubes, tyre levers, a pump and a lightweight folding multi-tool in case of a mechanical.  Bring enough fluids and food for a lap and the reload at the feed station.
