This is an inaugural open team pursuit event for all senior and masters age groups comprising of all male, all female or mixed teams   Factoring will be implemented for teams that contain women and paracyclists. Tandem teams of 2 tandems can also enter.

An initial 4km pursuit will seed the teams , teams will then be placed into one of 3 mini leagues  who will race twice more - another 4km and a final pursuit of 2 - 4 km depending on the time available. The total time taken (after factoring) will decide the winners.

There will be equal prize money for the winning team of each mini league.

NB In the event that the race is oversubscribed preference will be given to teams containing masters age athletes.

Covid behaviour code will be attached to team confirmation and information email to be sent after the closing date for entries. 

Info for Riders

One rider should enter on behalf of the team. They will be asked for the team composition, including other riders full names and membership numbers. Riders can be changed up to the day before the event by email.

Teams can be made up of 4 men or 4 women or any combination of men and women. A factoring of 2 % is calculated for each woman in a team. Hence an all female team will have an 8% factor applied, whilst an all male team will have no factoring.

Paracyclists are welcome. Once entries have been confirmed para teams will be factored according to the different impairment within the team.

Depending on numbers tandems may be allocated their own mini league after the seeding event or will be factored and compete against the 4 person teams. 

Only one team will be on the track at one time.

There will be no starting gate and therefore all riders will be held at the start. 

Final times will be recorded on the front wheel of the 4th rider in each team. All 4 riders must therefore finish.

Tandem team can be mixed gender or single gender and there may be one or two tandems in the team. Depending on entries the tandems may receive factoring to try and create an equal playing field.

The cost is £100 per team or £50 per tandem.

Team are asked to bring along something sweet or savoury to share!!!

If the event has to be cancelled for circumstances outside the organiser's control, it will be arranged for a suitable date later in the year.

Anyone with out a BC Race membership (ie Ride or non members) will need to pay £10 for a day licence

Anyone with a Bronze Race membership will need to purchase a Day licence for £5

Silver and Gold BC members without a full race licence will be able to race on the provisional licence they already have.

All licences must be handed in when signing in.
