Event Summary

Event Overview

VC Meudon once again brings you our annual sportive. Exploring the villages and finest country lanes that Hampshire has to offer. We take in some of the area’s finest countryside, with spectacular views and fun, challenging routes.

Whether you have just found a new passion for cycling during lockdown or you are a serious athlete, we have an event and a route for you.

There’s a choice of three scenic routes on quiet roads with three different distances depending on the amount of climbing (and descending) you want to take on. There’s plenty of support from local businesses, so expect a friendly club atmosphere, free parking, decent food stops, and chip timing. Plus there’s plenty of coffee, cake and pre-ride breakfast options to buy at the start/finish courtesy of the Village Hotel.

Village Hotel Farnborough Website >

Taking place just a week after the Tour of Britain finishes in Southern England, be inspired and make this the perfect target for your summer training. Come and take on this late summer challenge.

We’re looking to get the Farnborough Flyer up and running this year on Sunday 18th September 2022. The event will be run within the British Cycling Coronavirus guidelines prevailing at the time of the event.

The Farnborough Flyer is supporting the Rapha Women's 100km challenge event. A special 101km long route will be signed for those wishing to take up this challenge.

The Farnborough Flyer is a not for profit event run by Rushmoor Borough Council and Velo Club Meudon to raise money in support of local young cyclists and community projects
