Development session promoted by the Talent Development Team

A  rotating programme, providing high quality track time for riders to prepare for and practice skills learnt at RSR.

 

Sessions sign on will be released in 1 month blocks on the first Monday of the month before start date at 9am.

 

JUNIORS, YOUTH A & B

Event promoted by the British Cycling talent development team.

Development Centres support riders with their first step on the talent pathway as well as current riders who have been engaged in RSR and Apprentice programmes.  Online entry is used to support the tracking of riders through the pathway.

Development Centre Session - Youth A/B and Junior riders only.  Sessions will focus on higher level skills development, race fitness, race tactics and race craft and will be supplemented by occasional workshops/forums (training, diet, bike maintenance etc.)

 

SPRINT GROUP

There will be space for a bubble of 6 riders in a sprint group.  The prerequisites for this group:

  • Training towards or developing towards sprint racing
  • Come with an idea of the 4 efforts you would like to do as track time will be short. 
  • Bring rollers

Hire Equipment is available 

 

 

If this session is the riders first session of the winter they must bring a parental consent form.

About the Event

Info for Riders

This session is limited to 40 riders who are youth A/B or Junior in 2021. In order for riders to be considered for these sessions racers must be competent of riding at any point on the indoor track AND meet at least one of the below criteria:

 

  • Be already racing on track 
  • Be Indoor Track accredited
  • Be an existing Track RSR or GBCT Apprentice rider

Entry is online ONLY, no entries will be accepted on the day

Riders will need to bring there own equipment and enough food and drink to last the duration of the training session.

Covid-19 Information:

If you, or anyone in your household is shielding or displaying and covid-19 symptoms do not attend this session. The on-bike sessions are designed to meet current social-distancing and hygiene requirements. Please respect normal social-distancing and hygiene requirements when off the bikes too.

  • Keep 2m apart. Stay in your designated chair and keep your area clear.
  • Do not share equipment.
  • Your own equipment should be clean and sanitised before you use it.
  • Do not congregate more than necessary before and after a session.
