GIANT LINCOLN CYCLE SPORTIVE June 27, 2021 |  SHARE

The Giant Sportive at Doddington Hall retuns in 2021!

This will be the only sportive on our 2021 calendar and will be helping to raise money for local charities and great causes. The event has 4 distances* for you to choose from, with the Short, Medium and Long routes featuring support stations (known as feed stations) where you can take a pit-stop to regain energy and stock up on snacks! If you wish to take on the challenge for charity, please see our St Barnabas section below.

Routes

Mini: 33.6 miles - Great for your first Sportive.

Short: 56.2 miles  - Stretch those legs a little further! 1 x Feed Station

Medium: 74.4 miles - Good day out! 1 x Feed Station

Long: 103.3 miles - Be prepared - practice required! 2 x Feed Stations 

*distances are provisional. Confirmed routes will be announced soon. 

All cyclists taking part will start and finish at the beautiful Doddington Hall and will complete their chosen route on a well-marked and safe course. Once they have crossed the finish line they will receive a bespoke medal and a goody bag to celebrate their efforts.

St Barnabas entry options: £10 entry options are available on all routes, minimum fundraising pledge £145. In addition to the support/goody bag provided with the standard entries, you will receive a bespoke St Barnabas cycling jersey to wear during the event, on-the-day support from the St Barnabas team and a bespoke water bottle upon completion of your event. Plus the unbeatable satisfaction of raising much needed funds for a great cause! If you choose this entry option, you are agreeing for us to pass on your contact details to the St Barnabas team who will contact you with further information and to welcome you to the team! 

COVID: social distancing restrictions may still be in place and event registation is likely to take place online pre-event rather than on the day. Find more information under the 'About' tab. Further details to follow.

Info for Riders

Event registration and sign-on will once again be completed by riders online.  Riders book their timing start slot in the weeks leading up to the event, making the start procedure on the day very quick, easy and socially distant, if required!

Our expected start windows for the event are as follows. Please note these are provisional and are subject to change:

The Long Route: Start between 07:00 – 07:35am

The Medium Route: Start between 07:40 – 08:10am

The Short Route: Start between 08:15 – 08.40am

The Mini Route. Start between 08:45 - 09:05am

We unfortunately cannot accept entries on the day.

All riders must have completed the event by 5.00pm.

Routes will be released over the coming weeks - keep an eye on our social media channels!

St Barnabas charity partnership 

We are delighted to once again work our local charity St Barnabas Hospice. Participants who wish to raise money for this great cause can enter via a discounted entry option; all we ask is for you to raise £145 in sponsorship. This entry option is available on any of our Sportive routes - please see the 'Summary' tab for more information!
