There is now a charge for parking at Maindy and the machines DO NOT TAKE CASH. and starts at £3.50 for one hour,  £5.50 for two hours. So it is worth considering car sharing if you have colleagues racing at the same time etc. Or if you live near the venue, might be worth considering riding to the event.
