BRRT Spring Classic 2020

Road , Bedford – Sunday, 08 Mar 2020

Event Summary

Event Overview

This is the BRRT annual Spring Classic road race for 2/3/4 categories. Following on from the action packed 2019 event, we're hoping for a similarly competitive 2020 race. Early Spring weather conditions and new season enthusiasm really suit the Great Barford circuit's mixture of exposed fast roads, winding lanes, and punchy climb.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The circuit (course C125) is 9.5 miles 15.3km. 6 laps. Total distance 57 miles (91km).

The course is all unclassified roads, reasonably flat, often open with cross winds. Up to km 4 it uses the old A421. Between Chawston to Colesden & Duck’s Cross the road is quite narrow, take care and respect the villages. There is a 500m x 12% climb at km 12. After km14 the descent back into the village is fast: take care on the LH bend by the field car park.

All riders are welcomed to enter, but preference will be given to riders from teams that organise similar events - with a limit on team sizes to ensure a good race dynamic.
