LongMynd Batch Burner 2020 (Cancelled)

Offroad Endurance , Bishops Castle – Saturday, 06 Jun 2020

Event Summary

This event has been cancelled

Event Overview

Motivated by generating funds for our rural Primary School combined with a passion to showcase some of the Shropshire hills finest mountain bike trails. The Batch Burner has become a classic for the mountain biker keen to explore.

The 2020 route, as every year, is only made possible by the generosity of local land owners granting ONLY event day access  for us to ride. We are excited that the 2020 route will take us in a new direction, covering new ground featuring hills, woodland and trails that we have yet to ride on event day. There will be some challenging downhill single track with roots and drop offs so a good level of fitness and skill is required.

These tracks are not open to Mountain Bikers at any other time.

On Saturday 6th June 2020 the route will cover around 45k and just over a 1100 metres of climbing taking in country lanes, bridleways, forest singletrack, drovers roads and open moorland. Entries limited to 450 riders.

The Start and Finish will be at Norbury Village Hall, Norbury, Shropshire SY9 5EA.

Thanks go to all the landowners, Natural England, The Wildlife Trust  and all our very generous sponsors who have enabled this event to take place.

Once all entries have sold out a RESERVE LIST WILL OPEN. If you enter the reserve list, your entry fee will only be pending until you are accepted onto the event. A £1 application fee to use this facility will be taken and is non-refundable.

The Organisers reserve the right to change the length of the route due to unforeseen circumstances.
