The 2020 UCI BMX World Championships takes place between 26th - 31th May 2020 in Houston, Texas. The full race schedule will be announced once the entries have been confirmed, usually 2 weeks prior to the event.

Jerseys

It is mandatory for all riders to wear the GBR National Jersey. 

The jersey is the same style as used in 2019 World Championships, so World Championships jerseys purchased in 2019 can be used again.

Riders Born 2011 - Race age 9 in 2020

Riders who are born in 2011 did not receive a ranking in the 2019 season and will need to submit an application to British Cycling, registering their interest in attending the event.

There is a specific application form which can be found by following the link below. ONLY applications submitted via this form will be considered. Email applications will not be accepted.

RIDERS BORN 2011 APPLICATION FORM 

Only riders of proven national level ability will be considered. Riders born later than 2011 are not eligible. The closing date for applications is 11 November 2019. 

17-24 Classes (Women/Men)

Riders who are wishing to enter the 17-24 category must do so through application to British Cycling and selection will be made.

Discretionary Applications

There are 2 discretionary places in each class, and these have been reserved for riders of proven national ability who have been unable to qualify due to extenuating circumstances such as injury or ilness in 2019. These riders can apply for a discretionary place in their 2020 race class. There is no obligation to fill the places and spots will not be offered to those next in line. Full details can be found in the Qualification Criteria. The closing date for discretionary applications is 11 November 2019.
