Event Overview
Welcome to The 2019 Snowdonia's MTB challenge.
This event is exactly the same format as our hugely popular Elan MTB Challenge, but slightly different as it is a mixture of ‘natural riding’ deep into Snowdonia National Park combined with arguably one of Wales’s finest trail centres. A real mixture of exciting man made trails with ‘out there’ natural riding.
There are two distances to choose from. 50k and 25k. The 25k misses the trail centre and heads straight out in to the middle of the park.
The 50k is a Challenge as are the rest of our events. But the level of riding is classed as trail centre red. Starting off with a big clime to warm up and spread the pack nicely you will then traverse towards the trail centre. A full lap of one of the Classic trail before disappearing deep in to the National Park. Then a tough but fun route back to where you started, but with a really fast descent to finish.
The 25k is doable by beginners / intermediate with good fitness. The whole trail is graded no higher than a red.
A feed station will be strategically placed roughly half way around with all the freshly made usual goodies you have become to expect from our events.
Usual signs hi vis signs, first aid and a sweeper will be on route.
We must adhere to National Park and NRW rules, and is capped at 300 riders. There won't be any extensions. 200 is our cap as with Elan Valley. When it's full it's full. So be quick!
