Event Overview

The Red Rat Rampage is a  new fundraising mountain bike challenge event in the Peak District taking place on Sunday 6th October.

There are 3 routes to choose from…

SHORT: ‘Splat the Rat’ - 13km + 300m ascent  

MEDIUM: ‘Ring o’Roses' - 39km + 1000m ascent  

LONG: ‘Bubonicator’ - 63km + 1650m ascent  

All routes begin in the historical Peak District village of Eyam and are designed to be a ‘Challenge’ and NOT a race. All routes combine public highway and off road trails.

‘Splat the Rat’ is designed for families with riders aged 8 years+ (all U18s MUST be accompanied by an adult on any route) or less able riders.

THANKYOU FOR ENTERING & SUPPORTING THIS COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING EVENT

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A RACE & is limited to 250 riders.

Route GPXs & Risk assessments are on the official website –

PLEASE NOTE RIDER INFO WILL BE UPDATED once entry closes  ON THE DAY please check before departing on you journey!

( The longest route GPX is yet to be modified to reduce conflict with the RHS at Chatsworth House.)

Entry will be strictly first come first served via the British Cycling entry system.

Please NOTE-

  NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY 

Riders participating in Long route (Bubonicator) MUST register between 8.15 & 9am & DEPART BY NO LATER THAN 9.30am

(Riders arriving at Marshall point at head of Combs after 12noon will NOT be allowed to continue on the long route & will be diverted back on the medium route!)

Riders participating in Medium  route (Ring O Roses) MUST register between  9am & 9.45am & DEPART BY NO LATER THAN 10am

 

Riders participating in the  shortest route (Splat the Rat) MUST REGISTER between 10.30am – 12noon & depart by 12.30

Limited FREE Parking available in the village car park on Hawk Hill rd, adhjacent to Public Conveniences.

Participation is entirely at your own risk - Please ensure you have your own personal accident insurance - this can be purchased seperately through British Cycling.

THE WEARING OF HELMETS IS MANDATORY. Any rider not wearing a helmet will be deemed to be not part of the event.
