Event Overview

The Velo 2 Velo Carmarthen Sportive starts and finishes at Carmarthen Park with a lap of the 405m velodrome.

 A 66 mile cycle sportive with a fully signposted route.

 The route heads out of Carmarthen following the B4300 towards Llandeilo and onwards to Llandovery. From here you head into the Brecon Beacons for a few challenging climbs and quiet country lanes, before heading back towards Carmarthen and that velodrome lap to finish the day!

 This ride is suitable for a wide range of riders, particularly anyone who is looking for an event that's both challenging and relaxed, it includes over 1500m of climbing, but is all about having fun while rising to your own personal challenge and doing it at your own pace.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Rider registration opens at 7:00am and closes at 8:00am. 

Riders depart at 8 – 8.30am.

The event HQ is Carmarthen Velodrome, Carmarthen Park, SA31 3AX. Toilets, showers and changing facilities are available at the event HQ.

There are no timing chips, with the aim to make it a great non-competitive but challenging day out for riders of all abilities. The event has been built on strava and gpx files will be available for download.

The route will be fully signposted. A sweep van will leave 30 mins after last riders to assist any mechanical breakdowns, however, it is expected that all riders will carry a spare tube/pump as a minimum and follow the rules of the road.
