Event Overview

ROC Pier-2-Pier, organised by Run Or Cycle Events in partnership with Spokeworx, comprises a non-competitive road based cycle Sportive (59 miles) and off road trail run (52 miles).

The event is Suffolk based, starting at Lowestoft Pier and finishing at
Felixstowe Pier, with the cycle sportive travelling on minor roads and the running aspect travelling along the Suffolk Coastal Path.

The event is being operated on a test basis to fully assess the viability of future ROC Pier 2 Pier events. It will therefore be limited to a relatively small number of entrants (150 maximum – 100 runners/50 cyclists).

ROC Pier-2-Pier Suffolk, is a brand new event for runners & cyclists, starting at Lowestoft's South Pier in the north of the county, and finishing at Felixstowe Pier in the south.

Taking place on 29th June 2019, this unique event is a must for trailblazers who like to put a marker in the sand - as ROC Pier-2-Pier is a limited entry innaugural TEST EVENT in preparation for a series of challenges planned around the UK coastline.

Sportive cyclists will cover 59 miles through Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including tranquil and un-spoilt landscape, wildlife-rich estuaries, ancient heaths, windswept beaches and historic towns and villages.

Setting-off between 8.00 - 9.00am from South Pier, Lowestoft cyclists can re-energise at Butley aid station - with cake and drink available for participants - on your way to the finishing line beside the new Felixstowe Pier!

Event categories

Solo Entry (either Running or Cycling): Male/Female = £20 per person
Team Entry of 2 or 4 (Running only): Male/Female/Mixed = £15 per person

Participants must be aged 18 or over at start of race. This is limited entry test event - sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Medals and chipped timing are not included.

* A £2 Association of Running Clubs (ARC) charge may apply. More detail on entry.
** A £1.20 British Cycling insurance charge will apply on entry.
